Deputy Financial Controller

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement robust financial controls and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for growth and cost optimisation.
  • Lead and mentor a small team, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, trustees, and department heads, to communicate financial information effectively.
Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a strong background in financial management.
  • Experience within the education sector or a similar environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment, handling multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
