A fantastic opportunity at a global company working in the education sector. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller this role leads the acquisition finance function and plays a vital role in integrating newly acquired entities into the group. A great opportunity for a technically oriented qualified finance professional. 

The Client 

A highly acquisitive private equity backed business. Spread over multiple countries, this multi-site business has seen impressive growth over the past few years. With significant growth ahead this role takes a leading role within the acquisition finance team. 

The Role
  • Lead the purchase price allocation process for new acquisitions 
  • Managing the integration team leading on acquisition integration 
  • Integrating new acquisition's finance activities in line with group accounting policies and commercial strategy
  • Work closely with financial reporting team to identify areas to improve quality of accounting policies 
  • Primary contact for audit of all acquisition accounting matters
The Successful Candidate
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA) with minimum 4 years PQE
  • A strong background in technical accounting with extensive experience of IFRS 
  • Any exposure to property utilisation would be highly advantageous
  • Industry experience having originally qualified in practice 
  • Self-sufficient and confidence to lead a function and manage people
  • Ideally price purchase allocation experience and exposure to IFRS 3 but not essential
