The Role
As Junior Finance Business Partner, you will be part of the university's Central Finance Business Partnering Team. This is a pivotal role where you’ll deliver crucial financial and management insights alongside customer focussed support to budget holders and other stakeholders across the organisation. You will need to be excellent at building working relationships, an excellent communicator, and great at using your initiative and creativity to resolve problems.
Main duties:
- You will work proactively with budget holders to support them in preparing budgets and forecasts.
- You will manage the development of monthly management accounts.
- You will also support in the preparation of the organisation's statutory accounts.
The Successful Candidate
- An ability to be adaptable and work dynamically
- Some level of accounting qualification or studying towards
- Knowledge of Finance Information Systems
- Experience of financial planning, budget setting, forecasting, management accounts and variance analysis
- Some Higher Education experience ideal
What's on offer?
Salary c. £38,000-£40,000. Based in an excellent central location with great transport links. Generous annual leave alongside hybrid working.
