Position Overview: The Senior FP&A Analyst will be responsible for leading financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis functions for the organization. They will support key decision-making processes by providing management with insightful financial analysis, variance analysis, and strategic recommendations. The role requires a strong analytical mindset, the ability to work cross-functionally, and experience in delivering clear financial insights.
Key Responsibilities: - Financial Planning & Budgeting:
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to align financial goals with business objectives.
- Prepare detailed financial models, forecasting P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor actual vs. budget performance and explain variances.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Analyse financial data to provide actionable insights that drive decision-making.
- Strategic Business Support:
- Partner with various business units to assess financial impact, improve processes, and support strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with senior leadership to guide long-term financial strategy and business growth.
- Performance Management:
- Support in the preparation of board presentations and executive reports.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as required to support business needs.
- Process Improvement & Automation:
- Continuously improve financial planning and reporting processes, introducing automation where possible.
- Lead initiatives to enhance data accuracy, efficiency, and quality of financial information.
Required Skills and Qualifications: - Education you will be Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) with experience in financial and planning analysis.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in FP&A/ commercial finance
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Leadership: Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and mentor junior team members.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to accuracy and detail while working under tight deadlines.
