About Us.

Our Story

It all began at a fateful jury duty meeting in St Albans back in 2011. Having worked together ever since, our founders Jenna and Owen enjoyed fast-track careers at a large multinational recruitment company before launching the London practice for a small boutique firm. Bored of old age thinking and seeing many recruitment startups dust off the same old handbook, they launched Mackie Myers in 2021 to challenge convention and set about building a great recruitment business.

Manifesto

The value that quality recruitment can add to customers is enormous. Recruiting a great team and finding a new job are simultaneously the best and most challenging aspects of working life. We exist to facilitate that, genuinely solving problems by providing human-centred advice and consultation, often in the most difficult of circumstances.

Frustrated by the transactional nature of much of the recruitment industry, we are passionate about challenging the status quo of the industry to drive better practice and lives. As we grow our business, we strive to create a community of good human beings with a sustainable outlook focussed on people over profit.
