The Project:
Mackie Myers was recently engaged with a pre revenue technology client in the heart of Cambridge. A newly created role due to the projected growth of the business and as with many high growth start-ups getting the right person was imperative. Someone who would thrive in a small but rapidly growing company.
The Process:
We met with the Head of Finance and Talent Manager to discuss the recruitment of the role and the challenges they were facing. Very appreciative of the in-person meeting, this enabled Mackie Myers to learn more about the company, the culture and their values. Time frames were agreed and Mackie Myers embarked on their search to screen and meet suitable talent for the role. Having worked with the Head of Finance at a previous company, Mackie Myers were able to shortlist only suitable individuals for the role, not only by skillset but also ensuring they were right fit for the culture of the company.
The Result:
The successful candidate was sourced and appointed within 2 weeks. The strong relationship that the consultants had built with the client over the years in the local market meant that Mackie Myers were able to move swiftly and ensure both the candidate and employer were a suitable fit for one another. As soon as they met the appointed individual, they knew they would be the best fit for the role, allowing the process to move forward seamlessly. It is a great reminder of the importance of nurturing long-term relationships with employers.
