Sasha England, who at the time of recording was the outgoing CFO of Talkwalker, joins us on our latest episode of Topline Talks.
Originally a politics and economics graduate from Durham University, Sasha has experienced a fast-track career that in less than fifteen years has seen her complete her first successful transaction as a CFO. Initially starting her career at KPMG, Sasha quickly moved into the world of private equity providing her the platform to start working with high growth tech companies in the UK. Sasha takes us through her journey from Analyst through to CFO, where her career spans across both the US and the UK, pulling back the curtain on some key topics across the private equity and tech sectors.
In this episode we take a deep dive into her career discussing the challenges and opportunities of working within private equity from such a young age, where Sasha provides great advice for those that might be looking to explore a similar career. We also delve into the differences of working in England vs America and the implications a change of government had on her experience. A big topic that we discuss is the role of senior leaders across the finance, private equity and tech sectors to ensure they are promoting and creating opportunities for other female leaders throughout their career in notoriously male dominated environments.
This episode discusses some practical tips that both talent and employers can benefit from to provide the platforms and opportunities to carve out a successful career like Sasha. For those interested in understanding more about PE and Tech this makes for a great listen!
