Interim Finance Director for growing hospitality business

The Project

This exciting hospitality brand approached Mackie Myers with the challenge of securing an interim Finance Director for a six to nine month period. Having recently been left without a Finance Director at short notice, time was of the essence to ensure the role was not left empty for an extended period of time. With the business growing quickly and still working remotely it was important they were able to hire someone who had extensive knowledge of the sector and could deliver on a number of important projects quickly, without any handover.

The Process

Our established interim team were able to reassure the client of their ability to recruit this role at speed, without impacting quality outcomes. After meeting with the People Director at short notice, Louise reached out to our extensive network within the hospitality and leisure sector to pre-screen suitable candidates who were immediately available in the market. Within three working days Louise was able to shortlist four candidates for the role, two of which were brought back for a second stage with the CEO. Whilst both candidates were appointable they secured their first choice and the candidate started the following Monday.

The Result

From the initial vacancy consultation Louise was able to understand the priorities of the role, from skills all the way through to cultural fit. Due to her extensive recruitment experience within the interim London market Louise was able to provide the client with more than one appointable candidate (the dream scenario for any client). The chosen candidate started quickly and has settled incredibly well with no handover period at all.
