• We are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join a large, well?established membership organisation on an initial 2?month contract.
• This role is ideal for an experienced accounts payable professional who can quickly add value within a busy finance function, supporting robust financial controls and service delivery.

The Role
As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will support the finance function by ensuring supplier payments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with internal controls and policies.
Key responsibilities include:
• Processing supplier invoices end?to?end
• Preparing and posting journals relating to purchase invoices, credit notes, and payments.
• Managing payment runs and handling urgent or ad?hoc payments when required.
• Investigating and resolving invoice and supplier queries in a timely manner.
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
• Supporting month?end activities related to accounts payable.
• Contributing to continuous improvement of accounts payable processes and documentation.
  
The Successful Candidate
• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role.
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, supplier management, and payment runs.
• Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Professional, proactive, and able to adapt quickly in a fast?paced environment.
Desirable:
• AAT qualification or working towards one.
• Experience within a membership body, charity, public?sector, or similarly regulated organisation.
  
What’s on offer?
• Contract: Initial 2?month contract - potential for it to be extended or made permanent
• Day Rate: £170–£200 per day (umbrella)
• Location: Central London - 1 day in the office a week
• Start: ASAP
