Our client based in Thame are a global organisation that are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their central finance team!

This is a hands-on and fast-paced role where you'll support both UK and international operations, playing a key part in the smooth running of the finance function.

The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting core financial processes, including month-end close, invoicing, and intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout.

Main Duties

• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Manage invoicing, payment runs, and cash flow reporting
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and liaise with international teams
• Support Accounts Payable when required
• Work with large data sets to deliver meaningful insights

The Successful Candidate

• Experience in a finance role, ideally in a mid-sized company
• AAT qualified or ACCA part-qualified
• Strong understanding of double-entry accounting
• Confident with Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, formulas)
• Experience with multi-currency transactions
• Experience with intercompany accounting
