The Role This Management Accountant role provides full ownership of the financial operations for one of the organisation’s on?site facilities, as well as serving as the main point of contact for all finance matters relating to their European office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking end?to?end responsibility for accounting for a dedicated operational site.
- Month-end processes including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
- Acting as the primary finance liaison for the European office, managing queries and supporting decision?making.
- Producing clear management information and insights.
- Supporting the wider finance team with reporting, budgeting and process improvements.
Main Duties - Deliver accurate monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, income analysis and key financial schedules.
- Handle day?to?day financial queries from the European office and ensure smooth financial operations.
- Assist with forecasting, annual budgets and year-end audit preparation.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance financial controls.
The Successful Candidate - AAT?qualified or actively studying towards CIMA/ACCA.
- Experience in management accounting or month?end responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to manage international stakeholders.
- Proactive, organised and able to take ownership of an area of the finance function.
- Enjoys working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
What’s on Offer? - Salary: £27,000–£32,000 depending on experience.
For a strong part?qualified/finalist candidate, salary may rise to around £36,000 (potentially post?probation). - Study support: Generous package including exam fees and contribution toward tuition (subject to application/approval).
