The Role

You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering financial expertise, commercial perspective, and strategic guidance across the organisation. The position centres on enhancing financial performance, strengthening decision-making processes, and ensuring effective allocation of resources to support both financial resilience and social outcomes.


Key Responsibilities 

• Partner with senior leaders and budget managers to support strategic and operational objectives
• Provide detailed financial and commercial analysis to inform planning and decision-making
• Oversee annual budgeting, regular forecasting, and periodic reforecasting cycles
• Produce comprehensive management reports, including clear analysis and actionable commentary
• Monitor financial performance through variance analysis, highlighting risks and opportunities
• Contribute to the preparation of business cases and investment appraisals
• Maintain robust financial controls, governance standards, and regulatory compliance
• Manage existing Power BI reports and develop new dashboards

The Successful Candidate

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA)
• Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience
• Background within the not-for-profit, charity or education desirable but not essential
• Confident communicator able to influence non-financial stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insight
• Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
