The Role
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering financial expertise, commercial perspective, and strategic guidance across the organisation. The position centres on enhancing financial performance, strengthening decision-making processes, and ensuring effective allocation of resources to support both financial resilience and social outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders and budget managers to support strategic and operational objectives
- Provide detailed financial and commercial analysis to inform planning and decision-making
- Oversee annual budgeting, regular forecasting, and periodic reforecasting cycles
- Produce comprehensive management reports, including clear analysis and actionable commentary
- Monitor financial performance through variance analysis, highlighting risks and opportunities
- Contribute to the preparation of business cases and investment appraisals
- Maintain robust financial controls, governance standards, and regulatory compliance
- Manage existing Power BI reports and develop new dashboards
The Successful Candidate - Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA)
- Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience
- Background within the not-for-profit, charity or education desirable but not essential
- Confident communicator able to influence non-financial stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insight
- Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
