The Role The Director of Finance will provide strategic leadership across all financial functions and future?focused financial planning.
Key responsibilities include: - Leading financial strategy, planning, and organisational sustainability
- Providing high?quality financial insight to senior stakeholders
- Strengthening financial systems, controls, and audit readiness
- Overseeing compliance with UK charity regulations and donor requirements
- Managing a high?performing finance team in a global environment
Main Duties The role will oversee end?to?end financial management and governance across the organisation.
Main areas of responsibility: - Strategic financial leadership and development of long?term financial plans
- Budgeting, forecasting, treasury, cash flow and financial reporting
- Ensuring robust internal controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance
- Oversight of grant financial management and donor reporting
- Leading organisational risk management and financial due diligence
The Successful Candidate - A senior, fully qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with extensive experience in UK charity or NGO finance
- Strong expertise in UK charity accounting, SORP/FRS 102, audits, and working with Boards
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, international, grant?funded environments
- A collaborative leader with excellent communication skills and a commitment to the organisation’s mission
What’s on offer? - Salary: c. £80,000 per annum, plus 10% employer pension contribution
- Contract: Permanent
- Working pattern: Hybrid/remote working with global collaboration across time zones
- Travel: Some international travel required
