Our Client A respected housing provider based in committed to delivering high-quality services. With a strong focus on financial integrity and operational excellence, they are seeking a skilled Finance Manager to lead their transactions team.
The Role You’ll take ownership of the accounts payable, accounts receivable, rent accounting, and banking functions. You’ll ensure accurate and timely processing of income and expenditure, maintain robust financial controls, and support continuous improvement across the department. Reporting to the Head of Financial Control, you’ll lead a small team and play a key role in audit readiness and strategic financial management.
Main Duties - Oversee AP and AR processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments
- Lead rent accounting and housing benefit reconciliations, including bad debt provision
- Manage banking operations, cashbook, and payment software access
- Ensure VAT compliance and accurate reporting
- Deliver monthly balance sheet reconciliations and close-downs
- Develop KPIs and performance reports to monitor financial health
- Support internal and external audits and drive process improvements
The Successful Candidate - CCAB qualified accountant
- Proven experience leading transaction teams and improving financial processes
- Strong ERP and advanced Excel skills
- Expertise in VAT and complex reconciliations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in the housing sector or with Civica CX software (desirable)
