Role: Finance Manager
Location: Essex (Upminster)
Contract: 9-12 month FTC
The Finance Manager will support the Group Financial Controller in overseeing day?to?day finance operations, managing one direct report, and taking ownership of the full AP/AR cycle. You will also play a key role in post?acquisition integration, process improvement, and building a scalable finance function that can support continued growth.
Key Responsibilities Financial Operations & Controls - Take full ownership of month end reporting
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Ensure timely processing, reconciliations, and resolution of queries
- Strengthen financial controls and maintain high-quality financial data
Financial Reporting & Month-End - Support the Group Financial Controller with month?end close and management accounts
- Assist with consolidated reporting and analysis
- Drive improvements across reporting, processes, and systems
Post?Acquisition Integration - Play a key role in post?integration activity for newly acquired businesses, supporting the Group Financial Controller
- Embed consistent processes, controls, and reporting frameworks
- Work closely with operational and acquisition teams to ensure smooth onboarding
Business Support & Continuous Improvement - Provide analysis and insight to support decision?making
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance financial visibility
- Contribute to building a scalable finance function aligned with PE expectations
Skills & Experience Required - Experience managing and developing a team (even small teams)
- Strong background in finance operations, including AP/AR ownership
- Experience in a services environment or similar (preferred)
- Strong understanding of financial controls and process improvement
- Part or Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or simmilar)
- Comfortable working in a fast?paced, evolving environment
