Contract: 3 months initially, with potential to extend

Qualification: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
The Role We are looking for an experienced Interim Finance Manager to play a key role in a Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation, while supporting strong financial control and the day-to-day operation of the finance function.
This is a hands-on role for someone who has previously acted as a finance workstream lead or key finance stakeholder on a Dynamics 365 implementation and understands how to translate finance requirements into practical system processes, controls and reporting.

Working closely with senior finance leadership, the implementation partner, IT and operational stakeholders, the Finance Manager will help ensure the new ERP solution is appropriately designed, tested and embedded across Finance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a key finance workstream lead for the Dynamics 365 implementation, representing Finance throughout the project.
  • Help define, document and validate finance requirements, processes and controls within the new system.
  • Work closely with the implementation partner, internal project team, IT and operational stakeholders.
  • Provide finance input into system design, configuration and implementation decisions.
  • Support key finance workstreams including:
    • Chart of accounts and financial dimensions
    • General ledger
    • Accounts payable and accounts receivable
    • Fixed assets
    • Banking and cash management
    • Management reporting
    • Financial controls and approval workflows
  • Support data cleansing, migration and reconciliation between legacy systems and Dynamics 365.
  • Coordinate finance involvement in user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring issues are identified, documented and resolved ahead of go-live.
  • Identify process, control and data gaps and work with the relevant teams to address them.
  • Support the development of new finance processes, procedures, documentation and controls.
  • Help prepare the finance team for go-live, including process changes, training and user adoption.
  • Maintain appropriate financial control and support BAU finance activities alongside the implementation.
  • Assist with month-end reporting, balance-sheet reconciliations and other financial control activities where required.
  • Provide clear updates on progress, risks, issues and dependencies to senior finance stakeholders.
Candidate Profile

Essential
  • Qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Strong experience operating as a Finance Manager, Senior Finance Manager or Financial Controller in a hands-on finance environment.
  • Previous experience as a finance workstream lead or senior finance stakeholder on a Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation.
  • Good understanding of financial processes, controls, reporting and ERP system design.
  • Experience supporting data migration, reconciliation and UAT.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Finance, IT, operations and external implementation partners.
  • Comfortable balancing project responsibilities with ongoing finance requirements.
  • Available to work three days per week on-site near Oxford.
Desirable
  • Experience implementing Dynamics 365 Finance in a growing or changing organisation.
  • Experience improving finance processes and controls as part of an ERP transformation.
  • Exposure to multi-entity, international or complex organisational structures.
  • Experience supporting finance teams through system go-live and subsequent stabilisation.
