Our Client:A leading renewable energy company based in Oxford.
The Role:As Financial Accountant, you’ll play a key role in managing the financial health of the business, ensuring accuracy in reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering insights to support strategic decision-making. You’ll be working closely with the Finance Manager and wider leadership team in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Main duties: - Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
- Lead year-end close and liaise with external auditors
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant UK GAAP standards
- Manage VAT returns and other tax compliance matters
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Assist in the development of internal controls and process improvements
- Work with project teams on financial planning for new renewable assets
The Successful Candidate: - Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- 1-2+ years post-qualified experience, ideally in industry or from a practice background with relevant sector exposure
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Proficient in Excel and accounting software
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
What's on offer: - A salary of £55,000 to £65,000
- Hybrid working model (2–3 days in our Oxford office)
