Summary We are looking for a newly qualified Group Financial Accountant.
The ideal candidate is a recently qualified accountant with experience in group reporting, consolidations, statutory accounts, and management reporting, ideally within a multi-entity or international business.
Our Client Mackie Myers have partnered with a fast-growing, dynamic organisation in Oxford to appoint a Group Financial Accountant into their expanding Group Finance team.
The Role The Group Financial Accountant will be responsible for supporting group consolidations, statutory reporting, and management accounts across multiple entities. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to senior stakeholders.
This position offers excellent exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a growing finance function.
Main Duties - Prepare group and subsidiary management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
- Support monthly group consolidations and intercompany reconciliations
- Assist with statutory reporting and year-end audit processes
- Ensure compliance with IFRS / UK GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Provide departments with clear insight into financial performance and position
- Support senior stakeholders with strategic and operational financial analysis
- Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes and controls
- Deliver insightful analysis to support business decision-making
The Successful Candidate - Newly qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Experience in group reporting, financial reporting, or management accounting
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Excellent analytical skills with strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and motivated to grow within a fast-paced business
