Summary We are looking for a newly qualified Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join a Group Finance team in central Oxford. The ideal candidate will have experience producing management reporting, P&L analysis, and business insights, with strong Excel skills, financial modelling experience, and excellent attention to detail.
Our ClientMackie Myers have partnered with an expanding renewable energy company to appoint an FP&A Analyst within their Finance team. The business operates across multiple projects and seeks a talented analyst to provide actionable insights to support growth and strategic decision-making.
The Role The role will focus on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. You will work closely with Finance Managers, Business Unit leaders, and the FP&A team to deliver accurate, insightful, and timely financial analysis that informs senior management decisions.
Main Duties - Prepare and reconcile monthly management P&Ls
- Produce management reports, including actuals vs budget/forecast, variance and trend analysis
- Support month-end close and ensure timely, accurate reporting
- Develop and maintain financial models and reporting templates
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and insight to support business decision-making
- Present findings to senior stakeholders in a clear, actionable format
The Successful Candidate - Newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent)
- Strong experience in FP&A, management reporting, and P&L analysis
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Experience with ERP or finance systems
- High attention to detail and strong data accuracy focus
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, organised, and able to thrive in a busy, office-based environment
What’s on Offer? - Salary: £50,000–£60,000 per year
