You will lead core FP&A activity, drive improved reporting, strengthen systems, and play a pivotal role in embedding a recently implemented finance system during an exciting period of organisational development.

The Role - Lead month-end closure, ensuring accurate and timely management accounts
- Produce management accounts with detailed variance analysis and commentary
- Prepare payroll cost reconciliations and full?year pay forecasts
- Design and develop financial reporting packs using modern tools and technology
- Monitor and report on capital projects and significant capex spend
- Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process for designated budget holders
- Support consolidation of the school?wide budget and long?term financial forecasts
- Maintain and update cost?centre workflows to reflect organisational needs
- Train and support budget holders to enhance financial understanding
- Act as primary finance contact for assigned departments, providing financial guidance
- Improve financial processes, embed the new finance system, and lead the roll out of a new purchase order system
- Assist with year?end processes, preparation of financial statements, and audit queries
The Successful Candidate - Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Significant FP&A experience, ideally within education or the wider public/not?for?profit sector
- Strong technical skills in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence with financial systems and reporting tools
- Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
What’s on Offer? - Salary £63,000 – £67,000 per annum
- Full?time, 40 hours per week
- 25 days’ annual leave plus English public holidays
- 10% employer pension contribution (5% employee contribution)
