We're partnering with a dynamic Oxfordshire-based consultancy experiencing an exciting period of growth.
Working alongside a diverse range of organisations, the business provides its clients with hands-on financial expertise, commercial insight and strategic support - becoming an extension of their leadership teams rather than simply an external adviser.
As the consultancy continues to scale, we're looking for a Head of Finance to join the team on a part-time / dynamic working basis.
This could be an exceptional opportunity for a progressive Head of Finance or Financial Controller who still wants challenge, progression and variety, but is looking for greater flexibility around how they work.
What makes it different? Rather than sitting within one organisation, you'll gain exposure to multiple businesses, leadership teams and commercial challenges.
One week might involve strengthening reporting and forecasting for a growing business; another could see you working with founders on cash flow, improving controls, building management information or helping an organisation navigate its next stage of growth.
You'll become a trusted finance partner to clients while also playing an important role in the continued growth of the consultancy itself.
The role Your remit will include:
- Acting as a senior finance partner across a portfolio of client organisations
- Working directly with founders, CEOs and leadership teams
- Producing and improving management information and financial reporting
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow planning
- Strengthening controls, processes and financial infrastructure
- Providing commercial analysis to support better decision-making
- Helping clients navigate periods of growth, investment and change
- Identifying opportunities to continually improve the finance support provided to clients
Who are we looking for? We're particularly interested in speaking with progressive Financial Controllers and Heads of Finance who enjoy operating beyond the confines of a traditional finance function.
You'll be technically strong, commercially curious and confident communicating with senior stakeholders.
Just as importantly, you'll enjoy variety.
You'll need to be comfortable moving between different organisations and challenges, quickly understanding what matters and adapting your approach accordingly.
This could particularly appeal to someone who has reached a stage in their career where flexibility matters - but intellectual stimulation, responsibility and progression still matter just as much.
The proposition This isn't about stepping back from your career to work fewer hours. It's an opportunity to work differently. You'll gain exposure to multiple businesses, industries and leadership teams while joining an ambitious consultancy on its own rapid scale-up journey.
