Mackie Myers have partnered with a renowned £150m+ income charity to recruit an Interim Head of Finance Business Partnering on an eight-month contract.

This is a rare opportunity to join one of the UK's most recognised purpose-led organisations at a pivotal point in its strategic journey. Operating on a national scale with an international impact, the organisation is currently developing its next three-year strategy and financial plan, creating an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader to help shape future performance and decision-making.

The Role
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will lead a team of four and play a key role in driving financial planning, performance reporting, and business partnering across the organisation. Working closely with senior leaders, you will provide insight, challenge, and strategic support to ensure resources are deployed effectively and organisational objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Finance Business Partnering team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
• Drive the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
• Deliver meaningful financial analysis and reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities, improve performance, and maximise value for money.
• Provide financial input on business cases, investment decisions, and new strategic initiatives.
• Champion improvements in reporting, processes, and systems, including the use of automation and AI tools.
• Proactively identify risks and opportunities, providing clear recommendations to support organisational performance.

The Successful Candidate

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with experience leading a Finance Business Partnering or FP&A function.
• Strong track record of delivering budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance reporting within a complex organisation.
• Proven ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders and non-finance leaders.
• Experienced people manager with a passion for developing and leading high-performing teams.
• Commercially minded with strong analytical skills and a focus on continuous improvement, automation, and innovation.

Experience within the charity, not-for-profit, public sector, or wider purpose-led sector would be extremely advantageous. If you have no experience in any capacity with non-profits please do not apply.
