Head of FP&A

We’re partnering with a well-established, growing manufacturing business to appoint a Head of FP&A in a newly enhanced role. This is a key leadership position, responsible for building out best-in-class financial planning and analysis capabilities while partnering closely with senior leadership.
You’ll lead a small team and play a central role in shaping the commercial and financial direction of the organisation.
  
The Role
As Head of FP&A, you’ll take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, while developing robust FP&A and commercial processes to support strategic decision-making.
Working closely with the Group Finance Director, you’ll provide insight, challenge, and visibility across the business, helping to drive performance and long-term growth in a production-led environment.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the group budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Develop and enhance FP&A processes, tools, and reporting frameworks
  • Deliver clear, insightful analysis on business performance, including operational and production drivers
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to support commercial decision-making
  • Build and embed KPI reporting to improve visibility and accountability across operations
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small FP&A team
  • Support strategic planning and long-term financial modelling
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial processes and data quality
  • Work closely with finance and operational teams to improve understanding of cost, margin, and performance
  
About You
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong FP&A experience, ideally within a manufacturing or product-based environment
  • Proven ability to build or transform FP&A functions and processes
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical and influencing skills
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and leadership teams
  • Comfortable operating in a hands-on, evolving business
