critical scale-up phase, moving into global manufacturing and commercial production. With operations across the UK and Asia, this is a pivotal moment in the company’s growth journey.
The Opportunity We are seeking an
Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide immediate leadership across global operations during this key phase of scale-up.
This is a
high-impact, hands-on role, focused on driving operational performance, accelerating manufacturing scale-up, and ensuring alignment between technology, production and commercial delivery.
You will work closely with the CEO and executive team to stabilise, optimise and scale operations across multiple sites, with a particular focus on
manufacturing performance and delivery of key expansion initiatives.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across UK and international operations
- Oversee and optimise performance of manufacturing facilities, including the South Korea site
- Drive manufacturing scale-up and industrialisation, ensuring consistent, high-quality output
- Lead and deliver key operational and expansion projects, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are met
- Align R&D, engineering, supply chain and manufacturing to support commercial growth
- Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability
- Build and support high-performing teams across geographies
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, environmental and regulatory standards
Candidate Profile We are looking for a
proven operational leader with experience delivering in complex, high-growth manufacturing environments.
Essential experience: - Senior leadership experience (COO / VP Operations / Director level) within advanced manufacturing, energy, chemicals or materials-based industries
- Strong track record in manufacturing scale-up, plant operations and industrialisation
- Experience operating across international sites, ideally including Asia
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex operational and capex projects
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and executive presence
