Interim EMEA Financial Accountant

Summary
We are looking for a part-qualified or newly qualified Financial Accountant to join a Group Finance team on an 7 month fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate will have experience producing management reporting, P&L analysis, and performance insights, with strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across European entities.

Our Client
Mackie Myers have partnered with a fast-growing, multi-entity international business to appoint a Financial Accountant on an 7-month FTC. This role sits within their Group Finance team and provides exposure to multi-entity European operations.

The Role
Reporting to the EMEA Financial Controller, this role will support month-end close, management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. You will work closely with local finance teams, regional controllers, and the FP&A function to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights that support senior decision-making across the business.

Main Duties
• Build and reconcile monthly management P&Ls for multiple European entities from Dynamics 365
• Produce management reports including actuals vs budget/forecast, variance, and trend analysis
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Prepare Board and senior management reporting packs
• Maintain and enhance reporting models and templates
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking across entities
• Deliver ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis
• Act as primary finance contact for local offices on AP, AR, tax, and policy compliance
• Collaborate with credit control and Treasury teams on cashflow forecasting and debtor management
• Identify and implement finance process improvements and automation initiatives

The Successful Candidate
• Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)
• Strong experience in management and financial reporting, with P&L analysis expertise
• Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling capability
• Experience with finance systems 
• High attention to detail with strong focus on data accuracy
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Proactive, organised, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment
• Experience in international businesses, subscription/advisory sectors, or multilingual capabilities is desirable

What’s on Offer?
• £45,000–£50,000 per annum, depending on experience
• 7-month fixed-term contract
• Hybrid working model (3 days in office)
