Our Client
Reporting into the Head of Finance Business Partnering, this role sits within a highly collaborative finance team and will work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation. As the organisation continues to evolve its fundraising and income-generating activities, this position will play a key role in supporting financial planning, forecasting, and income modelling ahead of the annual budgeting process.


The Role
A key role in supporting the upcoming budgeting cycle, leading on forecasting, budget preparation, and income modelling. Partnering with senior stakeholders across the organisation, you will provide robust financial analysis and commercial insight to support strategic decision-making.
This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional with strong modelling skills who thrives in a stakeholder-facing environment. The assignment will focus on delivering critical planning and forecasting work throughout August and September ahead of the October budget cycle. 

Main Duties
  • Support the development of the three-year budget, forecasts, and financial planning process.
  • Lead income modelling, scenario analysis, and forecasting activities.
    Partner with stakeholders to identify key risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
  • Build and maintain robust financial models to support planning and decision-making.
  • Provide commercial insight and challenge to budget holders and senior stakeholders.
  • Analyse financial and operational performance to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support business cases, investment decisions, and fundraising initiatives through financial analysis.
  • Contribute to performance reporting and continuous improvement of planning and reporting processes.
The Successful Candidate Essential
  • Experience in FP&A, Finance Business Partnering, budgeting, or commercial finance.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Strong budgeting and forecasting experience.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex organisations and add value from day one.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
    Strong analytical and commercial mindset.
Desirable
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience supporting income-generating or fundraising teams.
  • Charity or not-for-profit sector experience.
  • Experience within a similarly sized organisation.
