The Opportunity
  • We’re partnering with a well-established organisation to hire a Senior Finance Business Partner on a 12-month fixed-term contract
  • This is a key role within a central finance team, supporting senior stakeholders during a period of complexity and change

  • You’ll work closely with senior leaders, delivering high-quality insight, supporting decision-making, and driving practical improvements
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting for a defined portfolio
  • Produce clear monthly and quarterly financial reporting across; Income & expenditure, Balance sheet, Capital, and Restricted funds
  • Provide robust analysis, insight, and constructive challenge to senior stakeholders
  • Act as the primary finance contact for decision support and business case development
  • Support strategic planning and financial deep-dive analysis
  • Navigate and manage current system and data limitations, while helping drive improvements
  • Support audit processes and strengthen controls and reporting quality
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and reporting
  • Support finance systems development, stabilisation, or optimisation initiatives
  • Deputise for senior finance leadership when required
About You
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Proven experience in management accounting
  • Resilient and comfortable working with imperfect systems and tight deadlines
  • Proactive, hands-on, and confident in taking initiative
  • Excellent communicator, able to influence and guide non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with finance systems
  • Experience in complex or not-for-profit environments is beneficial but not essential
