Our client: Mackie Myers are pleased to be partnered with a growing client in Peterborough on their search for a Trainee Management Accountant.
The Role:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process with data collection and basic analysis
- Monitor and report on departmental spend against budget
- Assist with new system launch, implementation and improvements
- Produce routine financial reports for internal stakeholders
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g. vlookups, pivot tables)
- Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Eagerness to learn and develop within a finance environment
