The project

Mackie Myers was briefed by a property development advisory business, for the recruitment of an Interim Finance Director. This role was critical for the business as they had an unexpected resignation and a rejected candidate offer with another agency. Louise, our experienced senior interim recruiter, was recommended to Cast from their wider network.

The Process

Due to the critical nature of this role, it was important that Louise met with the business to really understand what the main gaps and objectives were for the interim they needed. Going down to the business and meeting the founders enabled Louise to gain an understanding of their drivers, culture and the type of person that they needed to get the business to the next stage. Louise advised on day rates for the role and set a timely process in place in order to take the pressure off the managers and re-assure them that the right person would be found.

The Result

An interim Finance Director began with the business within a couple of weeks and has been able to take the weight off the shoulders of the business managers who previously had little support in Finance. The new Finance Director is helping to shape the business to be ready throughout a period of growth.
