We are looking for an experienced finance professional with a strong background in the charity sector.

The Role
The Head of Finance will oversee all financial functions, providing strategic guidance to the senior leadership team and trustees. In addition to leading on budgeting, forecasting, and statutory reporting, you will drive continuous improvement across finance systems, controls, and processes to support the charity’s mission.
Main Duties - Lead the charity’s financial strategy, providing clear insight, forecasting, and analysis to inform decision-making.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, management accounts, cashflow, and year-end processes.
- Ensure full compliance with UK charity finance regulations, SORP, and Charity Commission requirements.
- Develop and strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and reporting systems.
- Partner with senior leaders and trustees, presenting complex financial information in a clear and accessible way.
- Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The Successful Candidate - Significant experience in a senior finance role within the charity sector.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Strong knowledge of charity finance regulations, SORP, and governance requirements.
- Proven ability to lead on budgeting, financial planning, and strategic financial management.
- Exceptional organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
- A collaborative leader with a proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to balance strategic and operational responsibilities.
What’s on offer? - £60,000 – £70,000 per annum (depending on experience)
