Finance Officer

An exciting opportunity to work within a well-established charity through supporting the day to day finances in a progressive finance officer role.

Main duties:
  • Maintain and manage the general ledger.
  • Support the preparation of management accounts.
  • Oversee the asset register in Xero and manage the depreciation process.
  • Handle cash management and prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and reports.
  • Address queries related to expenses and budget codes.
The Successful Candidate:
  • Proficiency in all areas of accounts- purchase and sales ledger, and basic management accounts.
  • Proven experience with basic management accounts.
  • Studying towards an accounting qualification (e.g. AAT or ACCA).
  • Experience with Xero or similar cloud-based finance systems.
Desirable:
  • Experience working within a charity (familiar with charitable income and restricted grants).
