Interim Head of Finance - Family-Run Business near Oxford Location:Near Oxford
Contract:Interim / 3-6 months
Daily Rate: Competitive ( equivalent to circa £100,000)
Office based role We are partnering with a well-established, family-owned business near Oxford who are seeking an Interim Head of Finance to lead their finance function during a period of growth and transformation.
This is a hands-on, strategic role providing key financial insight directly to the owners.
The Role: You will take ownership of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management, ensuring robust financial controls and compliance. You will support the owners with strategic decision-making, provide actionable financial insights, and help drive business performance. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a close-knit, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the finance function, including accounts, budgets, and forecasts
- Provide clear, actionable financial insight to the owners
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and tax obligations
- Implement and improve financial processes and controls
- Support growth, investment, or funding initiatives as required
What We're Looking For: - Fully Qualified Accountant ( ACA or equivalent)
- Senior finance professional (Head of Finance / Finance Director) with SME or family business experience
- Strong technical finance skills and commercial acumen
- This is an office based role
- Hands-on, flexible approach, able to work in a small team environment
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate finance into plain business terms
