The Role
 
The Management Accountant will take full responsibility for producing accurate and timely management accounts, completing comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring the integrity of AP/AR reporting. This role is central to the month-end close process and will work closely with the Head of Finance to enhance, document, and implement robust business processes and accounting policies that strengthen internal controls across the organisation.
 
Main Duties
 
  • Full ownership of management accounts
  • Lead month-end activities, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Preparing stock reconciliation each month end in conjunction with operations team and ensure all stock movements are correctly recorded in both the stock ledgers and the general ledger
  • Assist with financial reporting, consolidation, and variance analysis
  • Maintain accurate ledgers and financial records across the business
  • Deliver detailed analysis and financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives across the finance function
 
The Successful Candidate
  • Degree in Business, Economics, or Finance
  • Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA with ambition to complete qualification
  • Experience with stock management
  • US accounting exposure preferred
  • FMCG or Retail industry experience preferred
